A Structured Coaching Program for Lawyers

This is not generic sales training. It is a practical, lawyer-specific approach designed to support lawyers in building sustainable revenue and positioning themselves as trusted advisors to clients.

The goal of this program is to make business generation efforts accessible and sustainable for lawyers at all stages in their careers.

Vision. The program begins with the client’s own vision of success.

Foundational Elements. With the client’s unique vision in mind, the client and coach work together to identify the foundational elements necessary for the client to succeed, including:

  • Paths & Approaches: Work through the various types of business development activities that have the potential to contribute to the client’s short-term success, and those that require more time and patience, taking into account the types of activities that the client would enjoy and that suit their personality.

  • Priorities & Time Management. Consider what action steps or considerations the client will prioritize first, and formulate a manageable strategy to carve out time to make progress.

  • Allies & Support. Consider the people and resources that will support the client in their business development efforts, and get a fresh perspective on lining up that support.

  • Hurdles & Challenges. Identify and work through the hurdles and challenges the client faces in business development.

The Process. Over the course of six (6) one to one coaching sessions, together with written reflections and guided prompts, the client and coach will evaluate the client’s current business development efforts, identify areas of opportunity that are suited to the client’s unique work style, personality, schedule, and approach.

The Outcome. The program culminates in the preparation of a unique, customized business development plan that integrates the learning and takeaways from the program, in a format that provides easy and accessible steps for the client to follow.

Execution. Once a client has a plan in place, they have a range of options for ongoing thought partnership and accountability, including individual coaching, peer mastermind groups, and written reflections on a monthly or quarterly basis.*

This program is guided by a coach who is both a practicing lawyer and a former law firm partner, who built a seven-figure book of business representing high-profile clients including the NY Governor’s Office, Fortune 500 companies, and top executives. Lauren's success in private practice, together with her experience leading business development trainings for law firms, and her coaching and mindfulness education, makes her uniquely capable of helping lawyers navigate to the support they need.
